Pegasus Players' 27th annual Young Playwrights Festival showcases the work of Chicago Public Schools students. Showings are every Friday and Saturday until Jan 31.

The three plays chosen this year are "Senioritis," written by Whitney Young High School student Alexus Williams about a 17-year-old fashionista tricked into spending time at a nursing home with her grandfather "and his cronies,"; "The Diner," a play written by Lincoln Park High School student Lauren Trifunovich about a waitress who is trying to close a diner when a mysterious man appears seeking refuge from the cold, rainy weather; and a play about a group of fairy tale characters participating in a group therapy session, "Fears for Fairy Tales," by Lane Tech High School student Clare McKiterrick.

Tickets cost $15 for students and $25 for everyone else.
