CHICAGO — A woman was fatally hit by a car in Chatham on Wednesday night, police said.
At 10:56 p.m., the woman was lying on the street in the 7700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when a man driving a Toyota Corolla hit her, police said.
The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said. She was later pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported. Citations were pending, police said.
