Driver Hits Man's Head With Baseball Bat After Argument In Hermosa: Police

CHICAGO — A driver hit a man's head with a baseball bat during an argument in Hermosa on Tuesday, police said.

At 9:55 p.m., a 56-year-old man was crossing the street in the 4000 block of West Palmer Avenue when he got into an argument with someone driving a car. The driver took out a baseball bat and hit the 56-year-old man in his head with it, police said.

The 56-year-old was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The driver fled and no one was in custody.
