BOYSTOWN — Ten months after announcing that it would be coming to Lakeview, FireFin Poke, 802 W. Belmont Ave., hosted a grand opening featuring free poke bowls to all guests.

General manager Alyse Pineda said the restaurant had a soft opening week starting last Wednesday, but it felt good to host the grand opening.

"It's exciting to be bringing something that's healthy and authentic," she said. "We have a lot of variety, and the menu is gluten free."

The Lakeview location offers seating for about 40, as well as delivery on six platforms.

The menu features 13 poke bowls, including one dessert bowl, along with the option to build your own bowl by choosing your base, protein, sauce, toppings and garnishes. If you're vegan or vegetarian, every bowl can be modified to have tofu.

Pineda said Furious Spoon, which is coming next door to FireFin Poke, will still not be open for a few more months.

FireFin Poke is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays.
