CHICAGO —A West Englewood robbery Tuesday night led to a gun battle that killed the robber and wounded his victim, police said.
At about 8 p.m. Tuesday, a 23-year-old man and an accomplice went to the back of a building in the 1500 block of West 71st Street and tried to rob three other men, police said.
Gunshots were exchanged, but it is unclear who shot who, police said.
A robbery victim, 22, was shot in his leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
The robber was shot in his left side of his body. He was taken to Christ Medical Center where he died.
No one is in custody.
