CHICAGO — A 30-year-old man was shot and killed in Grand Crossing on Thursday, police said.
At 4:45 p.m., the man was walking in the 1600 block of East 68th Street when someone walked up to him, took out a gun and fired shots, police said.
The man was hit in his head and was taken to Northwester Hospital, police said.
Antonio Barrett, of the 1900 block of East 73rd Street, was pronounced dead at 6:53 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The shooting was possibly gang-related, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
