CHICAGO — High school students intimidated by the skyrocketing cost of college are invited to bring their families to Liberty Bank of Savings, 6201 N. Milwaukee Ave., in Gladstone Park Saturday for a workshop and resource fair designed to help navigating the admissions process.

Starting at 9 a.m., Quest College Consulting founder Thomas Jaworski will give a presentation offering "real-life, useful details" on how to apply for financial aid or transfer from community college, according to an announcement.

From 10 a.m.-noon, admissions officers from seven post-secondary schools including the University of Chicago, Wilbur Wright College and the University of Illinois at Chicago will be on hand to answer questions from students and their families.

The event is free, but visitors are asked to register online. Refreshments will be served.
