Bicyclist Pulled Rifle From Backpack, Killed Man In North Lawndale: Police

CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was shot and killed in North Lawndale Thursday morning, police said.

At 10:05 a.m., the man was sitting in a car in the 1300 block of South Troy Street when someone rode up to him on a bike, police said. The person on the bike took a rifle out of a backpack and fired shots at the man.

The man was hit multiple times in his chest and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one was in custody.
