LAKEVIEW — Corridor Brewery and Provisions is quickly becoming a Southport staple, and now fans of the brewpub's beer will be able to take it with them anywhere.

Corridor, the sister brewery of DryHop Brewers on Broadway, will host various events throughout the month of October in celebration of its two-year anniversary, and a highlight this week is a can release party for its popular beer SqueezIt.

SqueezIt is the first beer Corridor has ever canned (other than crowlers), and the release party for these 16-ounce four-packs takes place from noon to midnight on Thursday at the brewery, 3446 N. Southport Ave. One hundred four-packs will be available, and each attendee will be limited to purchasing only one for $18 (tax included).

SqueezIt is a double dry hopped (DDH) IPA, and it was first brewed at Corridor this past April. After noting its popularity, the crew at Corridor brewed 15 other DDH beers. When it came time to plan out anniversary celebrations, canning one of their beers for the first time seemed like a no-brainer, and SqueezIt was the top pick.

"The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests pushed us to take the leap into canning," said head brewer Brant Dubovick in a press release. "As a brewpub, it's exciting for us to be able to offer this format in-house."

Dubovick said he and the Corridor crew plan to can SqueezIt variants with different hops in the future, and they hope to release cans every three weeks from here on out. Hazy beers will always be a focal point for the brewery, he said.
