CHICAGO — A man was found shot to death in South Shore on Saturday afternoon, police said.
At 2:29 p.m., officers were called to the 7000 block of South Chappel Avenue when people reported shots having been fired, police said. The officers found the man unresponsive in a car.
The man had been shot multiple times by someone outside the car, police said.
Valentino Cockerham, 23, of the 6800 block of South Crandon, was pronounced dead at 2:46 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
