THE LOOP — Macy's is ready to light the Walnut Room's Great Tree, and it's bringing along a winner of NBC's "The Voice" to help.
The annual holiday tradition will start at noon Nov. 4 in Macy's (formerly Marshall Field's) beloved Walnut Room.
The event will be the 110th lighting of the store's Great Tree.
Leading the celebration is Jordan Smith, a winner of NBC's "The Voice" who's now a best-selling artist. A native of Harlan, Ky., Smith won the ninth season of "The Voice" in 2015 and has since released two albums, including a holiday collection.
The Great Tree stands 45 feet tall in Macy's seventh-floor Walnut Room and has 2,000 ornaments and 6,600 lights.
