CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man died several hours after being shot in Scottsdale early Monday, officials said.
At 1:15 a.m., the man was found inside a car in the 4300 block of West 79th Street, police said. He had been shot in his abdomen and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
Adam Furtick, of suburban Bridgeview, was pronounced dead at 6:15 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his abdomen in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
