Humboldt Park Shootings Wound 2 People

CHICAGO — Shootings in Humboldt Park left two people wounded on Monday, police said.

• At 2:35 p.m., a 26-year-old woman was a passenger in a car in the 3400 block of West North Avenue when someone in another car drove up and fired shots, police said.

The woman was hit in her buttocks and she was taken to St. Mary Hospital. She was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where she was in good condition, police said.

• At 1:44 p.m., a 43-year-old man was standing in the 1100 block of North Springfield Avenue when someone in a light-colored car fired a shot, police said.

The man was hit in his arm and he was taken to Norwegian American Hospital. He was in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
