CHICAGO — A man was shot to death in Grand Crossing on Monday, police said.
At 2:10 p.m., the man was outside at the back of a house in the 7300 block of South Dante Avenue when someone walked up to him and fired shots, police said.
The man was hit multiple times and he was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Marshall Carter, 46, of the 7300 block of South Blackstone, was pronounced dead at 2:53 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
