CHICAGO — Police were searching Lake Michigan after there was a report of a person spotted in the water near Foster Beach on Tuesday.
At 11:27 a.m., officers were called to the 5100 block of North Simonds Drive after someone reported seeing a person in the water, police said.
Officers in the Marine Unit looked for a person or body, but were unable to find anyone due to the adverse weather and water conditions, police said.
Efforts to find the person are continuing, police said.
