CHICAGO — A 30-year-old man was shot to death in Austin on Sunday night, police said.
At 7:26 p.m., the man was standing outside a car in the 1300 block of North Mason Avenue when someone in a car drove up, police said. Someone in the second car fired shots at the man and the driver drove away.
The man was hit in his chest. He was taken to Loyola Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Oscar Carter, of the 100 block of North Karlov Avenue, was pronounced dead at 8:11 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
