By Kelly Bauer | October 6, 2017 8:26am

CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was shot to death and a woman stabbed in North Lawndale on Thursday, police said.

At 4:05 p.m., the two were in the 4000 block of West 21st Street when there was a "domestic-related incident," police said. The woman was stabbed multiple times and the man was shot in his chest.

The man was in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, police said.

Pleasure Cardell Singleton Jr., of the same block as where he was shot, was pronounced dead at 4:48 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his chest in a homicide.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

No one was in custody.
