BRIDGEPORT — The Duck Inn is making it easy to drink for a cause, as proceeds from sales of its newest cocktail will go to helping residents of Puerto Rico.
Beginning Friday, 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of the Daiquiri Alivio — which means "relief" in Spanish — will fund a local nonprofit's efforts to help rebuild the town of Aguada, which was devastated by Hurricane Maria.

The Duck Inn was approached by the group LIPA, or Life Saving Implementation of Puerto Rican Aid, which is seeking to charter a plane to the town that will deliver aid to residents and volunteers to help rebuild, the restaurant said in a statement.
The new cocktail is made with Puerto Rican rum (Palo Viejo Gold Rum), lime, turbinado gomme and bitters and is available for $10.
It will be available indefinitely, according to the restaurant.
