CHICAGO — A man fired shots at an officer and barricaded himself in a home in Auburn Gresham, bringing out a SWAT team, on Thursday, police said.
At 12:26 p.m., officers were called to the 7600 block of South Lowe Avenue when someone reported a man with a gun, police said. Officers saw two people run into a building and followed them.
That's when one of the people, a man, turned and fired at an officer, police said. The officer shot back.
SWAT responded to the incident and took the man into custody "without incident," police said.
No one was reported wounded.
