4 Ways To Meet Wicker And Bucktown Police In October, Including Over Coffee

WICKER PARK — At October Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy meetings, local officers will meet with Wicker Park, Bucktown and Noble Square residents concerned about crime.

As an added chance to meet with local officers, Wednesday is also national Coffee with a Cop Day, so Shakespeare District Officers can be found at Goddess and Grocer from 6 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, at 1649 N. Damen Ave.

According to a news release, the "Coffee with Cops" events in districts all over the city, aim to "break down barriers between police officers and the citizens of the districts they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know one another."

The October CAPS meetings are listed below:

Wednesday, Oct. 11

A meeting for residents of Wicker Park who live in Beat 1424 will be held at 7 pm. Oct. 11 in the Wicker Park Field House, 1425 N. Damen Ave.

Beat 1424 is bordered by North avenue on the north, Division street on the south, Wood Street on the east and Western Avenue on the west.

Wednesday, Oct. 18

A meeting for the Wicker Park, Bucktown and Logan Square areas will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 at the Bucktown/Wicker Park library, 1701 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Beat 1434 is a bordered by Armitage Avenue on the north, North Avenue on the south, Wood Street on the east, and Rockwell Street on the west.

Thursday, Oct. 19

A meeting for Noble Square and Bucktown residents will be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Pulaski Park Field House, 1419 W. Blackhawk St.

Beat 1433 is bordered by Wood Street to the west, the Chicago River to the east, Division Street to the south and Armitage Avenue to the north.
