BACK OF THE YARDS — Police are seeking help in finding the driver who killed a 53-year-old man in a hit-and-run in Back of the Yards.
At 3:30 p.m. Sept. 24, the man was crossing the street in the 1500 block of West 47th Street when a car driving eastbound struck him, police said in a community alert. The man was knocked to the ground, sustained life-threatening injuries and died Sept. 28, police said.
The car drove off eastbound, police said, and police do not have a description of it. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call detectives at 312-745-4521.
