CHICAGO — Rock legend Tom Petty, whose musical career spanned five decades, died Monday after going into full cardiac arrest at his Malibu, Calif. home.

Petty last played in Chicago on a rainy June 29 at Wrigley Field as a part of a 40th anniversary tour with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Here are reviews of the show from the Tribune, Sun-Times and Illinois Entertainer.
