3 People Shot While Heading To Funeral In Auburn Gresham

CHICAGO — Three people were shot on their way to a funeral in Auburn Gresham on Saturday night, police said.

At 8:06 p.m., the victims were in the 7500 block of South Union Avenue when someone walked up to them and fired shots, police said.

A 53-year-old man was hit in his right thigh and a 52-year-old man was hit in his lower back. They were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where their conditions were not available, but they were listed as "stable," police said.

Another 53-year-old man who was hit in his right knee refused medical attention, police said.

No one was in custody.
