Pregnant Woman, Man Slain In Shooting, But Baby Saved

CHICAGO — A man and pregnant woman were shot to death in Washington Heights on Friday morning.

At 7:39 a.m., the two were in the 400 block of West 102nd Place when they were shot, police said.

A man was hit and pronounced dead, police said.

A woman was hit three times in her chest and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition. The woman was later pronounced dead, police said.

The woman was pregnant, a source told DNAinfo. The woman's child was saved, though the infant was in critical condition, according to the Chicago Tribune.

No one was in custody.
