CHICAGO — A man was shot to death and another man wounded in Garfield Park on Friday, police said.
At 9:47 a.m., the two were in the 4500 block of West Jackson Boulevard when they got into an argument with three people and the other people fired shots, police said.
One man was hit in his chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
David Lucious, 35, of the same block as where he was shot, was pronounced dead at 10:21 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his torso in a homicide.
The other man, 28, was hit in his chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
One person was in custody with charges pending, police said.
