CHICAGO — A 14-year-old girl was shot while waiting at a bus stop in Calumet Heights on Wednesday, police said.
At 7 p.m., the girl was at a bus stop in the 9300 block of South Jeffery Avenue when someone in a red car drove up and someone in the car fired shots, police said.
The girl was hit in her stomach. She was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said.
No one was in custody.
