CHICAGO — A man was shot and killed in Austin on Monday night, police said.
At 8:46 p.m., the man was sitting in a car in the 5100 block of West Concord Place when someone walked up to the car and fired shots at the man, police said.
The man was hit multiple times throughout his body and was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Anthony Oliver, 46, of Aurora, was pronounced dead at 9 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
