Catalytic Converters Stolen From Lincoln Park Cars

CHICAGO — Thieves are stealing catalytic converters from cars in Lincoln Park, police said.

The thieves cut off the catalytic converters and are apparently targeting Lexus and Honda cars, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The thefts occurred:

• Between the evening of Aug. 7 and early morning of Aug. 8 in the 2100 block of North Fremont Street

• Between the evening of Aug. 7 and early morning of Aug. 8 in the 1800 block of North Bissell Street

• Between the evening of Aug. 18 and early morning of Aug. 19 in the 2100 block of North Lakewood Avenue

• Early morning of Aug. 19 in the 2200 block of North Lakewood Avenue

• Between ethe vening of Aug. 18 and early morning of Aug. 20 in the 2300 block of North Lakewood Avenue

• Between the evening of Aug. 21 and early morning of Aug. 23 in the 500 block of West Fullerton Parkway

• Early morning Sept. 11 in the 500 block of West Fullerton Parkway

Anyone with information about the thefts was asked to call police at 312-747-8380.
