CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man was killed in Austin on Sunday morning, police said.
At 9:31 a.m., the man was in the 900 block of North Massasoit Avenue when someone in a silver-colored car fired shots, police said.
The man was hit in his neck and chest, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Dashawn Townes, of the same block where he was shot, was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
