ANDERSONVILLE — Andersonville will host its largest arts weekend to date next month.

In its 15th year, the Andersonville Arts Weekend will be a weeklong celebration featuring more than 150 artists and 70 local businesses along Clark Street.

This year's celebration, set for Oct. 10-15, will focus on eight genres of art: visual, theater, dance, music, culinary, handmade, literary and public art, according to a press release for the event.

"The expansion of Arts Week is exciting on many levels and speaks to the one-of-a-kind experience Andersonville offers,” said Sara Dinges, executive director of the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce. “Art — whether performance, design, handmade or culinary — is inherently part of the Andersonville fabric, and we cannot wait to illuminate this experience."

Highlights for the week include:

• Tuesday: Theater Crawl

• Wednesday: Andersonville Farmers Market expansion with special performances

•Thursday: Culinary features and live music

• Friday: Stroll and Soiree art walk and parties throughout Andersonville

• Saturday: Kickoff of outdoor Makers Market in the Swedish American Museum parking lot and Berwyn block party.

• Sunday: Andersonville public art mural revealed
