UPTOWN — Buena Park Neighbors will close out this month with a community cleaning event and puppet show.
From 10 a.m.-noon Sept. 30, the block club will meet at the corner of Marine Drive and Buena Avenue to spruce up the tunnel to the lakefront by cleaning the walls, picking up trash and more, according to a release from the group.
From 4-6 p.m., the block club will meet at Buena Circle Park, 1049 W. Buena Ave., for a production "Of Mice and Mayors," which utilizes puppetry, music, comedy and audience interaction to tell imaginative tales, the release said.
The production by Sea Beast Puppet Company is a retelling of "Stone Soup" and "The Cottager and His Cat," the release said.
