CHICAGO — A 41-year-old man was shot to death in South Shore early Sunday, police said.
At 3 a.m., the man was in the 2700 block of East 75th Street when he got into a fight with someone and the other person fired shots, police said. The man was hit in his face.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Jesse Bennett, of the 6000 block of South Richmond, was pronounced dead at 3:14 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his head in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
