Thieves Targeting Dodge Caravans In Portage Park, Police Say

CHICAGO — At least seven Dodge Caravans have been reported stolen around the Portage Park neighborhood since Aug. 18, according to a police alert issued Thursday.

The thefts occurred during all hours of the day and targeted car models released between 1998 and 2005, police said.

They were reported at the following times and locations:

• At 11 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 3200 block of North Lavergne Avenue

• Between 5 p.m. Aug. 20 and 2 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 5200 block of West Patterson Avenue

• Between 9 p.m. Aug. 21 and 8 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 5100 block of West Eddy Street

• Between 6:15 p.m. Aug. 31 and 9:45 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 5900 block of West Eddy Street

• Between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 4800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue

• Between 2:20 a.m. Sept. 6 and 12:25 a.m. Sept. 7 in the 5400 block of West Higgins Road

• At 10:20 a.m. Monday in the 3700 block of North Laramie Avenue
