CHICAGO — Six people have been wounded in shootings since Wednesday, police said.

• At 2:09 a.m. Thursday, a man in his 20s was shot in Englewood, police said. Officers responding to a call of shots fired found the man lying in grass in the 7100 block of South Carpenter Street.

The man had been shot in the left side of his body and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

• At 9:57 p.m. Wednesday, an 18-year-old man was shot in Woodlawn, police said. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 6500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when someone in a white SUV fired shots at him.

The man was hit in his left leg and arm and was taken to Northwestern Hospital. His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 8 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in West Englewood, police said. The man was walking in the 6700 block of South Honore Street when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his right knee and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center. His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 1:02 p.m., a 38-year-old man was shot in South Shore, police said. The man was in the 7500 block of South Essex Avenue when he was shot in his left side.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 11:11 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was in the 4900 block of West Adams Street when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his hip and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 9:05 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was in the 7000 block of South Perry Avenue when he was shot in his abdomen.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in serious condition, police said.

No further information was immediately available.
