By Kelly Bauer | September 11, 2017 7:46am

CHICAGO — A driver hit a Chicago Police car before crashing into another car in Logan Square late Sunday, police said.

At 11:10 p.m., officers were driving with their car's emergency equipment on when the driver of a Dodge Caravan rear-ended the police car in the 2500 block of West Fullerton Avenue, police said.

The driver of the Dodge then went into traffic and hit a Ford Focus head-on, police said.

A 21-year-old man and 18-year-old woman in the Ford were taken to Illinois Masonic and Stroger hospitals, respectively, where they were listed as "serious but stable," police said.

A 27-year-old man driving the Dodge was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

An officer had minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for an evaluation, police said.

Alcohol might have played a role in the crash, police said, and an investigation was ongoing. Charges were pending against the 27-year-old man.
