Concealed-Carry Permit Holder Shoots Self When Gun, Seat Belt Get Tangled

CHICAGO — A man accidentally shot himself while getting out of his car in West Pullman Saturday night, police said.

At 9:35 p.m., the man, who has a valid concealed-carry permit, was getting out of his car in the 11500 block of South State Street when his seatbelt got tangled with his gun holster and the gun went off, police said.

The man was hit in his right leg and he was taken to Roseland Community Hospital.

His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
