CHICAGO — A driver clipped a Chicago Police Department squad car before hitting three cars in Norwood Park early Thursday, police said.
At 2:40 a.m., the driver, a 20-year-old man, was speeding in the 6900 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue when the driver clipped the on-duty squad car, police said.
The 20-year-old then swerved and hit three parked cars before stopping on a curb, police said.
The driver and a passenger were taken to Lutheran General Hospital in serious condition, police said. No officers were injured, but the squad car's license plate was knocked off.
Citations were pending.
