CHICAGO — Grab your coats: It's the city's first weekend of fall weather.

Well, it's only sort of the first fall weekend — the season technically started on Sept. 1 — but it is the first weekend you'll be able to feel the difference: It'll be colder than normal through Sunday with a light wind.

Friday will see high temperatures only reach the upper 60s, said Stephen Rodriguez, a National Weather Service meteorologist. The day will be partly cloudy with 10-15 mph winds, and temperatures will fall to the low 50s overnight Downtown.

Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures rise to the upper 60s, and the days will be sunny, Rodriguez said. Winds will reach 5-10 mph Saturday.

The normal temperature for this time of year in Chicago is around 78 degrees or so, Rodriguez said.

"Looks to be generally on the pleasant side," Rodriguez said. "A little bit on the cooler side."
