CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy was shot to death in North Lawndale on Monday night, police said.
At 7:49 p.m., the boy was standing on the sidewalk in front of a home in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue when he got into an argument with a group of people, police said. One of the people from the group fired shots at the boy.
The boy was hit in his back and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said.
Antwon Green, of an unknown home address, was pronounced dead at 8:17 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his back in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
