CHICAGO — A man died while detained for a robbery investigation in North Lawndale on Monday night, police said.
At 8:11 p.m., officers went to the 1600 block of South Pulaski Road to speak to a man who was being detained for a robbery, police said. The man became unresponsive during the investigation, police said, and emergency services were called for.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, police said.
The case was being treated as a death investigation, police said. No other information was immediately available.
