
CHICAGO — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing three businesses in and around West Town in recent weeks.
The armed man entered the businesses, and demanded the clerk put cash in a bag, police said. Twice, he instructed the victims to the rear of the store while he fled the scene.
In one incident, he fled on a bicycle.
The first robbery took place at 10:38 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 1900 block of West North Avenue in Bucktown. The second was reported at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 1900 block of West Chicago Avenue in East Village.
Most recently, the man hit a business in the 1400 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park at 8:35 p.m. Aug. 28.
Police said the suspect is white and between 30 and 50 years old, but provided no further description.

People should also be mindful of suspicious activity around businesses and call 911 immediately if witnessing a robbery to provide descriptions of the offender, vehicle or license plate if possible, police said.
