Burglars Entering Portage Park Homes Through Unlocked Doors, Police Say

CHICAGO — At least four homes were burglarized in Dunning and Portage Park between Aug. 23 and Saturday, including some whose doors had been left unlocked, according to a Monday police alert.

The burglars made off with items including cash, jewelry, electronics and copper piping, police said.

The burglaries were reported at the following times and locations:

• Between 5 p.m. on Aug. 23 and 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 24 in the 6300 block of West Addison Street

• At 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 25 in the 3900 block of North Central Avenue

• Between 6 p.m. and 10:30 pm. on Aug. 26 in the 6100 block of West Cornelia Avenue

• At 8:17 a.m. on Saturday in the 5400 block of West Eddy Street
