BUCKTOWN — A 39-year-old man was shot early Monday in Bucktown after meeting his alleged shooter earlier that night, police said.

The victim met a man who accompanied him to a home in the 1800 block of West Armitage Avenue around 4:30 a.m. A "disturbance ensued in the residence," and stranger shot the victim in the right leg, police said.

The 39-year-old was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. His condition was not available, but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No further information was immediately available.

No one was in custody.

In all, four people have been fatally shot and another 33 wounded since the start of Labor Day weekend.
