CHICAGO — A man was found shot to death in Austin on Saturday morning, police said.
At 5:02 a.m., the man was found outside in the 1000 block of North Waller Avenue, police said. He had been shot in his head and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
Marrio Battles, 39, of suburban Hillside, was pronounced dead at 5:40 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed Battles died from multiple gunshot wounds in his head in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
