CHICAGO — A 13-year-old girl was shot in West Englewood on Thursday night, police said.
At 9:50 p.m., the girl was a passenger in a car driving in the 6500 block of South Bell Avenue when several people came off a porch and fired shots at the car, police said.
The girl was hit in her back and was taken to Stroger Hospital. Her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said.
No one was in custody.
At least 22 children who were 13 or younger have been shot this year, including the girl.
