CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was robbed while walking in River North early Thursday, police said.
At 2:47 a.m., the man was in the 600 block of North State when a group of people walked up to him, implied they had a weapon and said they were robbing the man, police said. The robbers took the man's Apple watch and got away on the Red Line.
Officers saw people matching the description of the robbers at a Red Line stop at Jackson and State, and the victim identified several of them as the ones who had held him up, police said.
Charges were pending, police said Thursday morning.
