ANDERSONVILLE — Just months after Takos Koreanos closed, a pizza shop plans to open in the Mexican-Korean fusion's former location on Foster Avenue.

Three brothers are hoping to open their dream pizza shop Fat Chris's Pizza and Such in the space at 1706 W. Foster Ave.

"It's something we wanted to do for awhile," said co-owner Chris Kussor, who lives in the neighborhood.

Though they don't have an opening date yet, but they plan to begin serving up pies, which will come in a variety of styles like Detroit style and hand tossed, in September, he said.

It will serve pizza by the slice, full pies, carry out and also offer a buffet option. It will also offer some appetizers such as wings, he said.

The Mexican-Korean fusion joint closed in March due to a dispute with the restaurant's landlords.
