ENGLEWOOD — A job fair/hiring event in Englewood Thursday features employers ready to hire on the spot, organizers said.
The event will take place at 6622 S. Union in the vacant lot next to the Resident Association of Greater Englewood's office from 12-3 p.m. Those 17 and older are invited to attend. Professional attire is required.
Employers have current open positions and will hire those with criminal backgrounds, RAGE event organizers said.
Georgia Pacific, Chipotle and UPS are some of the employers represented.
"Serious job seekers should plan to attend, dress professionally, and bring a resume if you have one. However, it is not required," organizers said. "Employers will be interviewing and hiring on the spot."
The event, hosted by the Englewood Public Safety Task Force, is made possible by the Safe and Peaceful Community Grant.
