LINCOLN PARK — State is back open after a brisk rehab.

The bar and restaurant at 935 W. Webster Ave. was closed for about 10 days, according to staff, while some tile work was being redone.

It reopened Friday in time to play host to the pay-per-view fight Saturday night between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor.

A sign posted on the door in mid-August and signed by owner Kostas Giannoulias said it would be closed until Aug. 25, and "during this time we will be working on some exciting interior improvements and a brand new food menu."

According to a staffer on Monday, the work involved tiles in the bar, and the menu was still being reworked, with details on the changes to come later this week.

According to city records, State passed its most recent inspection in May, with conditions set for tidying up some minor violations. The Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection reported last week that had nothing to do with the 10-day closure.
