CHICAGO — A 35-year-old man died after a shooting in Englewood on Friday, police said.
At 11:20 p.m., the man was at a gas station in the 5900 block of South Morgan Avenue when a Chrysler 300 pulled up, police said. Several people got out of the car and fired shots at the man.
The man was hit in his head and he as taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Matthias Bowen, 35, of South Holland, was pronounced dead at 6:26 p.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
The attackers left after the shooting, police said. No one was in custody.
